In less than two weeks, we will have a new president elect. The first president I remember watching on election night was John F. Kennedy. I was in my apartment at the University of North Carolina, and stayed up until the early morning hours watching his first comments as the new president. Like most Americans, I was captivated by his energy, his youth, and his inspiring words. Take a look below at Kennedy’s first public gathering once he knew he would become the 35th president of the United States.
