Do we trust our governor enough to support him to become the Vice President of the nation? It is true he has hit the ground running in Louisiana but to take on the challenges of the entire nation may be a little much. We can all agree that Louisiana is in need of reform and it may be not in the best interest of the state to loose the most reform minded governor in recent history. However, before we place a halo over his head lets look at him in a different light. he signed the petition that is calling for life in prison for a convicted child molester but now he simply wants to raise the minimum from one year to five. Has he made deals with the DA’s Association and if so does he allow himself to be a prostitute to the whoremongers of special interest? There are still questions that need to be answered before I can trust him to be a heart beat away from leading the nation I love.

I oppose any state employee getting one red cent of a pay raise until the people can afford to get health care.

On television right now is the LSU basketball team playing for the championship, or in the championship tourneament. There is not a Caucasian on either team. Both teams are made up of all blacks. It is almost getting that way in football too. Talk about racial discrimination! Oh, well, tell me something new! Just telling it like it is!

  4. DeWayne Guice

I do not care to watch any sports due to the racial discrimination that is so easily noticed. Whites being discriminated against is nothing new. Where is White history Month in our public schools? Where is White Entertainment Television? Where is White Spring Break? If these questioned were answered and if they were initiated then the government we fund will surely see it as racist. A white boy was beat nearly to death in Jena, Louisiana and yet the beaters were supported by so called cival rights leaders. Whene is right excelled above wrong?

  5. Joe Castello

John McCain will select Mitt Romney as his running mate.

He pick someone with track record.

  6. Hardy Parkerson, Lake Charles

If McCain picks Romney, there is no way he can win the presidency. Only with Governor Bobby Jindal can the Republicans keep the White House. s/Hardy Parkerson

  7. JESSE VENTURA REVOLUTION LIEUTENANT JUSTIN Z. BOURGEOIS

PREDICTION: AS PART OF THE “JESSE VENTURA
REVOLUTION”, IN 2008 MILLIONS WILL VOTE
“NONE OF THE ABOVE” AND WRITE IN THEIR
VOTES FOR JESSE VENTURA FOR PRESIDENT.
MILLIONS WILL BOYCOT THE ELECTION. THE GREAT
    AMERICAN ELECTION BOYCOT HAS ARRIVED.
YOUR VOTE IS NOT COUNTED ANYWAY, UNLESS
THE ELECTORS OF THE PARTY YOU VOTE FOR
CARRY YOUR WHOLE STATE. AGAIN, THIS
IS JUST A PREDICTION. A GIANT PROTEST
OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE WILL TAKE PLACE
IN THE FORM OF MILLIONS OF NON-VOTERS
WHO BOYCOT THE ELECTION. AGAIN, JUST
    A PREDICTION.

America needs a strong military in these times. I can agree with a boycott but we need McCain to get us out of the mess that is cuasede by a military that is spread to thin. Osama Obama and Hillery are out of their league and I am a strong Democrat but support McCain.

  9. Hardy Parkerson

Only problem, Mr. Guice, is that McCain can’t win, unless he takes on Governor Jindal as his V.P. running mate. Then he will win by a land-slide, just like Jindal did. For some reason, Jindal is just a “hero”–for some reason–and everybody is looking nowadays for a hero. And Jindal is a “person of color”, and that seems to be a vote getter these days, so long as the “person of color” is not black. Jindal is not. Pass the word to McCain and the Republican Party that Jindal is the V.P. candidate who will put McCain over the top. s/Hardy Parkerson, Chm.; Ronald Reagan Democratic Party, Lake Charles, LA, USA

  10. DeWayne Guice

    Mr.Parkerson,
I do not consider Jindal as a hero nor do I trust him as far as I can spit. Jindal signed the petiton to incarcerate child molesters for life while running for office. However when he went into office he asked for a 5 year prison sentence. However Jindal is not alone and the only viper in the pit. So is Senator Francis Thompson and Representative Noble Ellington. I all three of these vipers name on the petition along with over 10,000 people of Louisiana but it seems the Louisiana D.A’s Association has more input in Louisiana law as do the 10,000 who signed the petiton and are continuing to sign.
These so called “law makers” who put their name on a petition and then backed off after being elected are in my opinion liars and prostitutes.
No one outside Louisiana has ever heard of Jindal but many of us see him as a savior to good government however I see him as a disgrace. My support for McCain will continue no matteer who he decides to have for a running mate but once I am lied to I feel the liar will steal also, hense Jindal is a liar and theif.

  11. HARDY PARKERSON, LAKE CHARLES

LET’S ALL CONTACT Senator McCain and tell him we’ll vote for him if he takes Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal on as his V.P. running mate. Let’s tell him the truth: he will win with Jindal as his running mate; he will lose without Jindal as his V.P. running mate. Thanks! Hardy Parkerson, Atty. – Ronald Reagan Democrat – Lake Charles

I also love Jerry Lee Lewis’ singing and playing of “Over de Rainbow” on Jim’s web-site here. Thanks, Jim, for dem good song.

To Alisa Harvin..I commend you on standing up for your Grand Father and I totally agree that it is easy to attack someone who can’t defend themselves as your Grandfather. All to often we look at the negative side vs the positive and draw our conclusions. It sickens me to know our society would attack someone who has devoted their lives to making change but history shows us this is our nature. history has proven that leaders such as Huey Long who brought Louisiana from the dark ages into modern times is often ridiculed more than given proper credit. the same with Gov. Edwards. I have heard of your Grandfather all my life and had the opportunity to meet him while giving testimony at the capital but he was not at his office and I regret it. I was really looking forward to shaking his hand.
Thank you for defending him and maybe someday I can shake the hand of B.B.’s granddaughter. May God bless you.

Jindal for Vice President on the Republican-McCain Ticket. McCain and the Republicans need him on the ticket in order to win. Otherwise, they’ll lose.

  15. Hardy Parkerson

Obama is the new kid on the block. We don’t know enough about him. He has his roots in Islam. I believe it is Islam that is financing him and his campaign. We know that Islam is out to destroy the United States, as we know it. If in doubt, leave it out. Let’s learn more about him before we back him for President of the U.S. s/Hardy Parkerson, Lake Charles

  16. Paul Blaine

Hillary won in Pennsylvania. Therefore, Obama should drop out of the race. I won’t vote for the Democratic ticket, even if he is the V.P. candiate. Obama is an unknown factor. We surely don’t need him in the White House.

  17. LuWana Washington

Barack is stilling in, and there is nothing thats going to stop him.

That ugly fat queer white woman has run out money. We are prepared to send of welfare checks to Barack if we have to.

    We will overcome !

  18. LuWana Washington

There is nothing wrong with the justice system in Louisiana.

    There should have a competenence
test for all lawyers every five years. Like the ones that take black people’s money, and do nothing to defend them. Thats why we have so many young black men in prison……….. it’s those crooked white lawyers.

    Those racist white lawyers.
Barack is going to fix that and a few other things when he become president.

  19. Hardy Parkerson

    McCain can’t win without Jindal
as his V.P. running mate. The
Republicans had better talk to both
McCain and Jindal. They both need
to do what is best for the country,
not best for Louisiana. Write McCain
now. Write Governor Jindal now. Write
the Republican Party now. Do some-
    thing while you still can.

    Sincerely,

    Hardy Parkerson, Chm.
Ronald Reagan Democratic Party of Louisiana

  20. LuWana Washington

Maybe Senator Barack Obama will pick Governor Jindal as his Vice President.

    Two great men.

  21. Joey

    Hey Jim,
Just have to tell you how much I love the music selection (Is there a better Somewhere over the Rainbow?) We miss you around here in Ferriday. Keep up the good work.

  22. Joe Lowenthal

Hardy, some how my last post saying to your wife and boys got dropped.

Say “Hi” to you wife and the boys. Paul, Blaine and Andrew are fine young men.

  23. Hardy Parkerson, Chm. - Louisiana Democrats for Jindal for Vice President

    Governor Jindal Bobby Jindal “broke
a leg” tonight on the Jay Leno
Show. I could not have handled it better
myself. And for me to say that, that’s
something! After all, he beat me to
become governor; but, as my wife said,
“It was close!” McCain will win if he chooses
Jindal as his running mate. He will lose, if he
does not choose Jindal. Again, I was
thorougly impressed with the way Jindal
handled himself on the Jay Leno Show. For
some reason, the Reublicans have kept
him hidden from the public and have
presented him only in well done political
ads. Tonight we got to see him live
    and hear him speak extemporaneously.
Again, even I was impressed with him.
Contact all of your friends in other states
and have them contact McCain and urge
McCain to choose our Governor Jindal as
his V.P. running mate. If and when McCain
does, our First Lady of Louisiana Mrs. Jindal
is not going to let her hubby turn down the
Vice Presidency. There is more to it all
than this, but this is something to think
    about.

    Sincerely,

    Hardy Parkerson, Chm.
“Ronald Reagan” Democratic Party of Louisiana

  24. Hardy Parkerson

He might be, if Senator Clinton would drop her bid for the nomination, and McCain does not choose Governor Jindal for his V.P. running mate. If Jindal is on the Republican Ticket, there is just no chance the Democratic Ticket will beat McCain and Jindal. S/HMP

  25. Tara Walton

I am trying to reach Amy Kirk. She was my neighbor growing up in Ohio. Please have her contact me.

  26. Paul Blaine

Last time I heard Amy was at the
Elayne Hunt Correctional Center at St. Gabriel, Louisiana and having a wonderful time.

  27. Hardy Parkerson

Tara, Call the great lawyer Jerry Kirk in Westlake, Calcasieu Parish, LA. He might know her and where she is, or he might be able to recommend to you how you might go about locating her. Jerry is the only Kirk that I know. Good luck! s/Hardy Parkerson, Lake Charles

How ’bout more songs by the Killer? He’s great! Great people come from humble Ferriday.

  29. DeWayne Guice

McCain doesn’t need Jindal in order to become President. McCain has done well enough without him, by showing he is his own man and doesn’t bend to political pressure (not saying that any in the Republican Party are pressuring him to pick Jindal). Obama who has shown his complete lack of seeing a color blind nation and Clinton being unable to reach the working and middle class are beating themselves.
while it may be true that many in McCains own Republican party will not support him there are those of us who consider ourselves conservative Democrates who will support him.

  30. Hardy Parkerson

Senator Clinton has stated that if Iran should attack Israel, she’s have the U.S.
military “wipe them out.” Smartest thing she could have said. Why? God
said, “I will bless those who bless you (the Nation of Israel/the Jews) and curse
those who curse you.” (Parenthetical matter added.) Politics being what
is is, Israel now should back her and also the Jews, wherever they may live.
Also, all Christians should back her, for this is what Christians believe, what
the Holy Bible teaches them/us. Of course, I suppose she’ll lose the David Duke
support over this, but even David Duke should support her, for he is
a Chrisitan, and Christians are told by god in the Holy Scriptures to “bless
the Jews.” There is more to it all than this, but this is something to
think about. Looks like McCain just lost the right-wing Evangelical Christian
vote. If the Democrats should have their convention before the Republicans,
Senator Clinton should do her best to get McCain to sign on as her
V.P. running mate, of not former president Bill Clinton himself. (Now I
am sure that former president Bill Clinton would not be willing to
play second-fiddle to his wife, for what man would! Of course, McCain
would probably be willing to take V.P. slot, rather than run the risk
of getting nothing out of all of this. There is more to it all than this,
but this is something to think about.

    Sincerely,

Why didn’t her husband do so ten years ago. You can tell me she has more balls than her husband?

  32. Hardy Parkerson

Bill Clinton was a band boy, not a ball player. Of course, when he was over at Oxford, he became a member of the Rugby team; and I understand due to his size, he was really a good Rugby player. And Hillary plays a great game of tennis, as all Yale women do. They won’t let them graduate at Yale, unless they play a good game of tennis.

  33. FROM POLITICSLA.COM ABOUT SENATOR VITTER

    BIG MF – 03 May 2008 10:16 PM

    maurepas1 – 03 May 2008 10:13 PM ———-
Now that Scalise has won the Congressional seat his eyes will be on Vitter’s senate spot. Does Scalise have to wait to be sworn in before he starts campaigning for the Senate? ———-

(I hope I’m wrong about this. I think Steve will be a super congressman; but his record shows him always looking for a “promotion.”) ———-

He wants Vitter’s “appointment” book ———-
    Now, that’s funny! Vitter’s OK.
He’ll survive all of this. He’s
actually doing a good job as
U.S. Senator, doing all he can to
    lower the price of prescription
    medication, as he promised to
    do when he ran and got elected;
    and even Walgreens has cut
their prices (at least in Louisiana)
    drastically since he has been
a U.S. Senator. And all of this
    from a loyal Democrat.

    Sincerely,

    Hardy Parkerson

I am constantly amazed at how some try to place the blame of the bombing of the twin towers on President Clinton. Do we not understand that the towers were attacked under the watch of George Bush. We should also be aware that the shrinking value of the dollar has happened under the watch of Bush. When Clinton was President we had a strong economy, but how soon we forget. We as Americans need to understand that Bush has been a failure and has shown over and over again that he does not possess the mentality to be an effective President.

  36. Hardy Parkerson

The Internet Terrorist strikes again. This time under the fake name of “Dr. Molly”. He’s creating an electronic “paper trial” whereby he can be brought to justice. HMP
