Jim formed The Lisburn Press, a small Southern publishing house, in 2005. It has become one of the fastest growing small publishing companies in the country. The initial publication was Jim’s first book, Justice Denied. His personal story is one of the most riveting examples of an unjust court system, and has been praised and quoted by lawyers and judges throughout the country.
Jim’s most recent book, My Louisiana Odyssey, is a memoir, of living in what Jim describes as the most intriguing and interesting place in America. The book is full of stories about Louisiana’s music, politics, food, art and number of antidotes about living a special way of life. The book has received great reviews. As one reviewer commented: “No matter how history ultimately judges him, Jim Brown will always be able to say of himself that “˜at least I ain’t led no hum-drum life.'”
