Election season is here, with qualifications just ending. What should the candidates be talking about? The Bayou State is way behind most other states across the country in many surveys that rank education, economic development, health and overall quality of life. Does any candidate, from governor on down to the local level, really offer any specifics towards a master plan for the state? How do we get out of the rut we are in? Or do we just continue to jump from one crisis after the other, with no vision about a solid future for the state? I write about this dilemma in my new column now posted.
