The Sanford group was one of the biggest swindles in Louisiana history. Several thousand people suffered huge financial losses, some their entire life savings. There’s no certainty that they will ever get any substantial amount of their savings back. So what happened? Where were the regulators who were supposed to lookout for such shenanigans?
