There has been a lot of talk concerning federal regulation of insurance. And for good reason. A number of state insurance departments have not been auditing large insurance companies that do business in their states. AIG got into a lot of problems, because they weren’t being properly watched and monitored. And policyholders, for good reason, are getting fed up. I write about it in this week’s column.
