A big celebration for Italian-Americans last week. It was, of course a Columbus Day celebration. What? You’re saying oh no, it was Indigenous Peoples Day, right? I say wrong, and you’ll be surprised how this whole controversy originated. I suggest that Columbus was only a minor footnote in picking the special day to honor Italian-Americans.
