There’s a major effort in Washington, both by the president and key members of Congress, to pass legislation forgiving current student loans. The amount of these loans currently exceed $1.7 trillion. And that ain’t chump change. So is this something that Congress and the president should do? Is it fair to the those who earlier paid off all their student loans? And who’s going to pay all the bill?
