Edwin Edwards and John McKeithen – A Rocky Relationship?

Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards and the chief executive who preceded him, John McKeithen, had an interesting and controversial relationship.  McKeithen had actively supported Edwin Edwards in his race for Congress, and quietly let his supporters know that Edwards was the best choice for governor. But things went sour in their relationship right at the time that Governor Edwards took his oath of office.  I give some personal background of the controversy and just what happened in my new column.
