The Louisiana legislature is considering a large number of new laws that supposedly bring more integrity to the election process. The same effort is being made in states across the country. Most of this comes from the allegations of election fraud in the past presidential election, espoused with a little proof, by then president Donald Trump. So are these laws really needed? I know something about how to present system works. I wrote the present Louisiana election code back when I service Secretary of State in the 1980s.
