Another cleanup begins as Hurricane Laura devastates the Gulf coastline and moves up through Louisiana. Fifteen years ago this week, Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc and tore into the soul of New Orleans and south Louisiana. It was one of the most trying times in the state’s history. I look back at my personal experience with Katrina, and ask, do we still have much to learn about dealing with these massive storms that will continue in the future?
