Money, money, money goes the song from the Broadway show Cabaret. And this should be an issue in Louisiana comes to electing state judges. Insurance lobbyists push through legislation in the recent session of the Louisiana Legislature that limits rulings of judges when it comes to automobile injury cases. But if money is the problem, why did not the legislature deal with that issue of campaign contributions to judges? I write about this thorny problem in this week’s column.
