It’s getting close to time for qualifications in this year’s gubernatorial election campaign. If you’re running for a major statewide office, it is almost too late to get started, unless you are a millionaire. So what’s the story in the governor’s race? Incumbent Gov. John Bell Edwards looks to be in the driver’s seat, having $10 million in the bank, and opponents who are, at this date, not all that well known. But what about an elephant the room?
