Among a long list of Louisiana heroes, is Warrant Officer Hugh Thompson from Lafayette. This week marks the 50th anniversary of an American slaughter called My Lie. American soldiers massacred innocent babies and old women by destroying their village and killing everyone there in cold blood. A helicopter pilot name Hugh Thompson witnessed the carnage taking place, and moved in to put a stop to it. It’s riveting and compelling story about real American heroism.
