ARE PROSECUTORS ABOVE THE LAW IN LOUISIANA!

Let’s be blunt about this week’s column. The criminal justice system in America today has real problems. This is certainly the case in my home state of Louisiana. The New York Times blasted The Bayou State last week saying: “Nowhere is this situation worst then in Louisiana where prosecutors seem to believe they are unconstrained by the Constitution.” Heavy words from a major newspaper. And many other news outlets are saying the same thing. What is happening? Why the lack of integrity and just following the law by certain prosecutors, particularly in Louisiana?
