It was twenty-five years ago that Emeril Lagasse opened up his first restaurant, Emeril’s, in the warehouse district in New Orleans. He was a guest on a local TV show I was hosting at the time. It was hard then to imagine that today, he would own 16 restaurants coast to coast, and is one American’s superstar chefs and restaurateurs. I had the honor of attending his 25th anniversary dinner this past Saturday night in New Orleans. You can see I’m back in his kitchen giving him a few tips for his special hollandaise sauce. (Yeah, right!) Great food, exceptional evening.
