Joan Baez-What a Singer!

For the past half century, first lady of American folk music has always been Joan Baez.  I saw her sing for the first time in the early 60s when I was a student at the University of North Carolina.  She inspired a whole generation of American to become pro-active in any number of social causes.  And her music, well, just mesmerized.  And after 50 years, her voice has not changed a bit.  I heard her sing at the Red Dragon Listening room this past Saturday night here in Baton Rouge.  Polite, engaging, and what a treat to listen that brought back memoires of a much earlier me.  Take a listen.  I’ll be a fan as long as the lady is singing.
