Well, the country has  already been introduced to Louisiana’s Duck Dynasty. Now the A&E cable channel is featuring the fairy tale of the Alexandria, Louisiana woman who married the prince of Louisiana politics.  That’s right.  There is no doing away with cagy Ole’ Edwin Edwards. The new TV series, The Governor’s Wife, is centered on Trina Edwards, who married  former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards shortly after the octogenarian Edwards’ was released from federal prison. A&E’s cameras follow her new daily life and how she and her two boys, from before her marriage to Edwards, adjust to being part of the family of Louisiana’s most-famous politician. The network’s promotion of the new series features Trina Edwards narrating the not-quite-Disney-like story, set to debut October 27.
