Is it reasonable to ask a voter to give proof of their identity?  Or is this too much of a burden in a democracy where the right to vote is sacrosanct?  All of us are regularly asked for the identification. When we cash a check, when we board an airplane, many times we use a credit card, or in picking up a prescription from the pharmacy.  So what’s the big deal of requiring the same ID when one goes to vote?  The Justice Department is now saying that such an ID requirement is an unreasonable burden, place particularly on minority and Hispanic voters.  What do you think?  Before you decide, you might want to check out my new column now posted.  You can read it by Clicking on the Red Flashing Box above, or by Clicking Here.
