Hey, remember the rock group Herman’s Hermits? They were an English beat band, formed in Manchester in 1963 as Herman & The Hermits. Back then, they rivaled The Beatles and the Rolling Stones in popularity. A few of there big hits included I’m into Something Good, Henry the eighth I am, Mrs. Brown You’ve got a Lovely Daughter, and There’s a Kind of Hush. The group’s acoustical guitar player was a Brit named John Gaughan. He was in Baton Rouge last week, and is now in Anglican minister.  We had quite a lunch, reminiscing back to the musical years when I was in high school and college. I surely remember the group well. Take a look at, what is certainly my favorite song below; Mrs. Brown You’ve got a Lovely Daughter.  A little basic today, but would you believe it was number one in the nation back in the 1960s?
