It’s time that everyone in America speaks English. No exceptions. That’s the buzz phrase in many political campaigns around the country this fall. In Alabama, the leading candidate for governor looks into the camera and says: “We speak English so if you cannot speak
English or refuse to speak English, get out of Alabama and our country.” OK, so maybe government should only communicate in English. But what about your freedom of choice? Why should the government or anyone mess with your right to speak in any way you please? Humm!
