There is just no doubt about it. Louisiana Senator David Vitter is just about the toughest, meanest guy on the political stump these days. Just take a look.

Dear Mr. Brown, I honestly don’t understand why you ran this cartoon. Are you Pro-Vitter or Anti-Vitter? All it shows is Sen. Vitter shooting a Duck. HUH?
No, it shows him shooting cupid. Take no prisoners. Go for the juggler. That’s where our politics is today. And that’s how most Louisiaians feel. No civility in our system. If your opponent disagrees with you on almost any issue, then they are your enemy. That’s how Washington works and Vitter is a typical representative of this “take no prisoners” approach. It’s both parties, and therefore, as my column says this week, nothing gets done and there is gridlock. The action, therefore, is back at the state level. That’s why the column talks about what could, and should be done in Louisiana at the state level. So the cartoon and the column all ties in. Hey, there’s a method to my madness. Thanks for asking.
