Insurance Problems in Louisiana far from over!

 

No hurricanes this year, and the insurance front should be calm and stable with rates beginning to go down-right?  Well, not so.  Rates, particularly for property owners continue to go up in Louisiana as they dropping other gulf coast states.  And the new buzz word-dry wall.  Thousands on Louisiana homes have been infected with rotten walls that corrode pipes and appliances.  But many insurance companies are not paying claims and canceling policies when claims are made.  So here we go again.  The Wall Street Journal wrote about this issue also today and you can read it Here. Take a look at my new column that discusses this thorny issue.  You can read it by Clicking Here.
