Stanford Scandals-Does Louisiana have Liability?

 

Financial scandals are the range today with Madoff and Stanford leading the culprits.  Some 1700 Louisiana families got scammed by the Stanford group.  A federal receiver has seized Stanford’s assets, while little can be done for Louisiana investors, some who have lost all their savings.  So here’s the question.  What did Louisiana financial regulators do to protect these families who have been defrauded?  Why is the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions so quiet about this whole mess?
