Catholic Church closing in New Orleans-What a Mess.

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

There is quite an ongoing story taking place in New Orleans involving the attempt by the Archdiocese to close down several long existing catholic churches in the uptown area of the city.  Archbishop Alfred Hughes says the churches need to close. He says attendance is off after Katrina, the churches have financial problems, and there is a shortage of priests.  Not so say many of the parishioners.  Vigils have been held around the clock at both churches, and several arrests for t4esspssing were made last week.  So church attendance is drastically falling off all over the country, while we are arresting dedicated church goes in New Orleans?  Makes no sense.  To get the full story, check out my long timed college Christopher Tidmore’s story on this whole mess, by Clicking Here.  And take a look at the video below as church parishioners are arrested last week.

Some guidence seems to be necessary form the Pope himself.  Now I tried my best to talk with the Pope on  a recent journey to Rome.  Yo can check out my visit below.  Take a look at both photos. , There is me, ofcourse, and at the top of the photo, right above the red banner, you can see the Pope.  Of course our visit was strictly confidential.
