Louisiana homeowners who face the highest property insurance rates in the nation. But the Legislature and the Insurance Department exasperated the costs by favoring homeowners over taxpayers as a whole, creating really bad public policy. The mess created is the focus of Jim’s column this week. You can read it now by Clicking Here, or by going to the box entitled “Jim’s New Column” on the left side of this page.
Hey, it’s a new year, and we all are hopeful that common sense will prevail in the state capitol. But it looks like the state is off to a shaking start, particularly in the insurance field. Happy New Year anyway.
